Vincent J. "John" Smallhorn Vincent J. "John" Smallhorn , 85 of Hanson, died Friday, March 18, 2011 at the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Mary T. (Constantino) Smallhorn. Born May 4, 1925 in Peekskill, New York, he was the son of the late Charles and Laura (Buckner) Smallhorn. John served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he served as a Top Deck Gunner on the USS Saugatuck and USS Vogelgasangas. John worked for Vacuum Industry in Somerville for several years. He enjoyed music and dancing. He has been a resident of Hanson for the last 6 years and had previously lived in South Boston. He is survived by his wife Mary T. (Constantino) Smallhorn; his children, Gail Spinney and her husband Joe of Hanson, Mary Gamberdella and her husband Tony of Las Vegas and Vinessa A. Mihos and her husband Louie of Hanson; his grandchildren, Gina Spinney, Lisa Spinney, Nickolas Mihos and Tayla Mihos. Funeral Information Following Cremation, A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26th at 11:00AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Hanson.
