Virginia Ann (Hurd) Crowley, 76, of Middleboro passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of Harold D. Crowley.

Born in Brockton on December 22, 1946, "Ginny" was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Pitcher) Hurd. Virginia graduated from East Bridgewater High School and received her associate degree from Mass Bay Community College.

Virginia enjoyed a long career as an administrative assistant, most recently for Reebok for 25 years leading into her retirement.

In addition to her loving husband Harold "Danny", Virginia is survived by her children Daniel E. Crowley and his wife Heather and Mary E. "Beth" Vargas and her husband Jason; her grandchildren Hannah E. Crowley, Henry W. Crowley, Striker J. Vargas and Raven E. Vargas; her sister Nancy Daniels; as well as her beloved brothers-in-laws, sisters in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Ginny was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, and Nana. She enjoyed traveling - including countless family road trips, camping, going down to the beach, trips abroad, exploring Crowley roots in Ireland, and just going on drives with Danny. Ginny spent much of her retirement researching and exploring her ancestry; gathering and learning about precious connections to her past including links to a Civil War veteran and a passenger on The Mayflower.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 22nd from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt.105) Lakeville. Please consider a memorial donation to the Massachusetts General Hospital - MA Alzheimer's Disease Research Center in lieu of flowers. Interment will be private.
