Virginia Ann Fernandez of Brockton passed away on August 20, 2021. Devoted mother of Tracy Fernandez. Loving daughter of Barbara (Deas) Fernandez and the late Julio Fernandez. Sister of Michael Fernandez, Peter Fernandez, Gerald Fernandez, Julie Ann Fernandez, and the late Christine Vega. Beloved Nana of Anna Fernandez, Christian Fernandez and Julian Vega. Dear aunt of the late Gerald Fernandez, Jr., Andrew Vega (whom she raised), Derrick Fernandez, and Corey Fernandez. She had retired after working for 35 years as a revered neonatal intensive care nurse at Boston Medical Center. Virginia was a long-term member and servant of Jubilee Christian church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, (Rte. 123) Brockton on Thursday, August 26th from 4:00-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 27 at 10:00am at Jubilee Christian Church, 39 South Street, Stoughton. Burial will take place at Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson.
