Virginia M. (Meehan) Hooker
, 67, of Easton, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her home in North Easton under the care of her family and hospice. She was the beloved wife of Elbridge G. Hooker for over 34 years.
Born September 12, 1941 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John Meehan and Veronica (Kearns) Meehan. Raised in Brockton she graduated from Brockton High School in 1959.
Virginia was a Lab Technician and had worked for Quest Diagnostics for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was a former communicant of Christ The King Parish/St. Colman Church in Brockton. She has been a North Easton resident since 1981.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Elbridge G. Hooker; her children, James M. Studley and his wife Brenda of North Easton, Mark E. Hooker and his wife Elizabeth of Brookline, and Erin K. Hooker-Thomas and her husband Andrew of North Easton; her grandchildren, Michael Studley, Aidan, Brendan, and Devin Hooker-Thomas; her brother, John Meehan of Washington; her niece, Melinda Ringrose; her nephew, Sean Meehan; her best friend, Carol Mandeville.
Funeral Information
Following cremation, A Memorial service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Thursday, July 9th at 12:00PM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
