Obituary

E. Virginia (Lucey) Krance, 93 years, lifelong of Brockton, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Baypointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Wife of the late Stanley Krance, retired Brockton Fire Department. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Elizabeth C. (Coughlin) Lucey. Virginia was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1933 and of the Bridgewater State Teacher’s College, class of 1937. Before her retirement she had been a teacher in the Brockton Public School System. She enjoyed playing bridge with a group of her friends, traveling and spending time at the Cape.

She is survived by her son John A. Krance, retired Brockton Fire Department and his wife Lisa of Plympton and her niece Nancy F. Roach of New York City. She was the sister of the late Margaret Roach and Helen Lucey.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-7pm.
