Obituary

Virginia T. (Maraglia) Libby, age 88, of Brockton, died June 23, 2021 at Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Libby. Virginia was born, raised and educated in Stoughton, a daughter of the late Baptista and Alice (Mitcheroni) Maraglia. Virginia was a stay at home mother who cared for her 12 children. She enjoyed having her family around her, especially for Sunday dinners and family gatherings.

Virginia was the mother of Deborah Washburn of Brockton, Michael Libby and his wife Judy of Brockton, Roberta Steele and her husband Ralph of Brockton, Victoria Ortiz and her late husband Jesus Ortiz of Brockton, Donna Libby and her partner Anne Marie of Fall River, Christopher Libby of Brockton, Veronica Libby of Brockton, Gregory Libby of Brockton, and the late Donald Libby, Stephen Libby, Denise Mitchell and Janit Moran. She is also survived by over 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a daughter in law Susan Libby. She was the last of 13 children.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday, July 2, at 10am.
