IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia Mae
Peart
June 7, 1942 – May 5, 2024
Virginia Mae "Ginny" (Venuti) Peart, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away on May 5, 2024 at 81 years old.
Ginny, the eldest of three children, was born on June 7, 1942 to Henry and Grace (Cardarople) Venuti. She was raised in Braintree, Massachusetts where she later worked for the Braintree Water Department most of her professional career. Ginny was not a woman that could sit still, and after retirement went to work for several years at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where she made many great friends
.
The most important thing in the world to Ginny was spending time with family and friends. There is nothing she wouldn't do for anyone she loved, or even a person she had just met. Ginny loved cooking, gardening, organizing, and cleaning (yes, really). She loved to provide for others and never showed up at a door with empty hands. Whether it be her lasagna, her Christmas cookies, or her apple pie, we will all miss her cooking which tasted so good because it was made with such love.
Ginny also loved to be out and about with those she loved. Whether it be a road trip with friends to Yankee Candle, a trip to Kohls, dinner at Olive Garden, a vacation with family or a daily trip to Dunkin Donuts for iced coffee, she was always up for an adventure no matter how big or small.
Ginny was predeceased by her parents, many aunts and uncles, her beloved sister Marjorie (Venuti) Mattivello and her precious granddaughter, Emerson "Emmie" Hitchcock. She kept all their memories alive by sharing her continuing love for them whenever she could.
Ginny is survived by her two sons, Scott Hitchcock and his wife Danielle, of Marshfield, Massachusetts and John Hepburn and his wife Dannielle, with whom she lived and was cared for in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts; her cherished granddaughters, Cayden, Reese, Avery and Blake Hitchcock of Marshfield, Massachusetts; her brother, William Venuti and his wife Mary of Plymouth, Massachusetts; her brother-in law, Ralph Mattivello, Sr. of Marshfield, Massachusetts, her nieces and nephew, Melissa (Venuti) McDonald and her husband Steve of Pembroke, Lindsey (Venuti) Driscoll and her husband, Mike of Kingston, Amy (Mattivello) Salvati and her husband David of Marshfield, and Ralph Mattivello , Jr. and his wife, Sheryl of Kingston; and her Aunt Dorothy of Barnstable, Massachusetts. She also leaves many beloved cousins, one grandniece and five grandnephews.
Like family to her, Ginny will be dearly missed by all her friends, especially her best friends, Donna Brady and Judy Salamone, and her little dog, Ginger, who she shared with Judy.
Ginny was loved and will be missed by all she knew. We will keep her memory alive by sharing our many memories with each other and future generations as she would have loved to live forever and meet them all.
