Stranges of Brockton May 6, 2003, Virginia R. Stranges, 81 years. Aunt of Richard J. and Donald F. Tortorella both of Brockton and Julia Baranowski of CA. Sister of the late John Stranges, Elvira Tortorella, Elgira ‘‘Sally” Lerette and Mary Ferrara.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street(Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Thursday 8 to 8:30 am.

Obituary

Miss Stranges died Tuesday morning at the Guardian Center in Brockton after a lengthy illness. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late Dominic and Julia (Villella) Stranges. Life long resident of Brockton. Had been a resident of Brockton Commons for 18 years. Attended Brockton schools and graduating from Brockton High School Class of 1939. She worked in city insurance companies as a clerk retiring from Thompson, Eaton and Boyden. Former member of Brockton Senior Citizens. Long time communicant of St. Patrick Church. She also enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by 2 nephews Richard J. and Donald F. Tortorella both of Brockton and a niece Julia Baranowski of CA. and a grandniece.

Sister of the late John Stranges, Elvira Tortorella, Elgira “Sally” Lerette and Mary Ferrara.
