Vitalina Alves Teixeira Vitalina Alves Teixeira , 80, of Brockton died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Teixeira. Born January 3, 1929 in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Paulo Alves Vieira and Maria Dos Reis Pina Andrade. Vitalina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and spending time sitting on her porch with her neighbors. She is survived by her children, Guilherme Rodrigues of Brockton, Maria Alves Andrade of Brockton, Catarina Alves Santos of Brockton, Paulino Alves of Brockton, Angelina Baptista of Brockton, Olivia Alves Rodrigues of New Bedford, Joaquina Alves Rodrigues of Brockton, Alberto Alves Rodrigues of Brockton, Antonio Alves Rodrigues of Cape Verde and Belmiro Alves Rodrigues of Brockton. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and family. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Saturday, April 18th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
