Vivian M. (Ethier) Pircio, 90, of Brockton, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her home in East Bridgewater after a brief illness. She was the wife of Joseph J. Pircio who she married on October 12, 1946.
Born September 17, 1924 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Louis Ethier and Lena (Beautiette) Ethier. Raised in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1943.
Vivian was a retired payroll clerk for Herman Beauty Supply.
She was a faithful Sacred Heart Parishioner in Brockton until its closing. She loved to read, travel and needlework. Her strength and faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was the devoted wife of Joseph J. Pircio; mother of James Pircio and his wife Kathy of East Bridgewater, Claire Choate and her husband Don of Bridgewater and Suzanne Shea and her husband Gary of East Bridgewater; her sister-in-laws, Theresa Spagone, Laura Ferrara, Marie Sullivan and her husband Ed and Barbara (Cissy) Ethier; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Loretta Young and Louis Pircio and sister of the late Oscar, Lawrence and Andrew Ethier.
Funeral Information
Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, January 30th at 9:30AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:30AM. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home Thursday 3:00-7:00PM.
