He was the husband of the late Edith (Alves) Barbosa. Born February 22, 1937 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the the son of the late Raul Cardoso and Anna Barbosa. He is survived by his children, Maria da Graca Pires Centeio Barbosa DePina, Valdir Monteiro Barbosa Centeio Barbosa, Jose Henrique Alves Barbosa, Vanda Lucia Alves Barbosa, Joao Henrique Alves Barbosa, Alda Maria Alves Barbosa-Fernandes, Neila Edmira Alves Barbosa and Agnelo Henrique Alves Barbosa; his siblings, Rosalina (Cardoso) Santos, Antonio Pina Cardoso, Augusto Pina Cardoso, Maria Cardoso Barros, Isaura Correia Andrade, Eduardo Jorge Correia, Jose Barbosa Dasilva Cardoso, Andreza Gomes Da Silva,Maria Luisa Gomes Da Silva and Carlos Jorge Correia; he is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, January 5th at 9:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward's Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 10:00AM.
