Walter A. Hand, 88 of Bridgewater, passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Norwood in 1936 to Anne and Arthur Hand. Walter was the brother of Arthur, Richard & David. A graduate of Walpole High School class of 1954, he was a proud member of the basketball and baseball teams. He went on to attend Boston University before serving his country in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.

Wally was a dedicated professional in the electronics industry working worldwide and the founder of the Brockton Youth Association. Wally enjoyed traveling, golf, baseball, basketball, puzzles, neighborhood pool parties, he was an avid sports fan, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a pas member of the Halifax Country Club.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife Carole A. Hand of Bridgewater, his children; Jaime Gomes and her husband Emanuel of Bridgewater, Darren hand and his wife Jeanne of Brockton. He was predeceased by his daughter Tracy and grandson Tyler. He leaves behind his adoring grandchildren; Ashley, Kyle, Meaghan, Samantha and Gillian.

The family will honor Walter's wishes for a Private Service.
