Walter Stephens, 65, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He leaves to cherish his memories the love of his life: Leola Lockhart Stephens; his two children: Taschetta Stephens Weston (David) and Walter Stephen; his Father: Walter Stephens; his siblings: Mercedese Stephens, Janet Newman (Harris), Mary Ann Thomas (James-deceased), Daniel L. Stephens, Teresa Warren, Linda Warren, Bonnie Warren all of Syracuse, NY, and Ruth A. Warren of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and step brother Bernard Gray; his grandchildren: D'Andre M. Weston, DaKari J. Weston, Tenise N. Weston, and Ma'khi W. Stephens; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He also leaves his dearest friends, brother-in-law Earvin Stockman, sister- in- law Dorothy Lockhart Stockman and Vondrea Lockhart. Close friends Bernard Blunt and George Junior. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00AM in New Life Christian Church, 184 W. Elm St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00AM in the CHURCH. The family would like to invite everyone back to the VFW Post 8992 263 East Main Street, Avon, MA 02322 for the repast.
