Warren Robert Hill Cossitt, 79, passed away in Middleborough, MA peacefully at his home on May 10, 2025, with his son at his side after a long and arduous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Warren was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Annette (George)Cossitt.

Warren was born in Brisbane, Australia to George and Margaret (Watt) Cossitt. His father owned and managed hotels during his childhood, so they moved around to various places in Australia and the US over the years. As a teenager he decided to forgo the travelling and moved in with his grandmother in New York to finish high school. He graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo, NY in 1964. He became a U.S. Citizen on April 15, 1966.

He enlisted in the army in 1965, serving as a dental specialist during the Vietnam War in the 121st Medical Unit at Ft. Richardson, Alaska. Warren was discharged from United States Army active duty in 1968 after 3 years of service with an honorable discharge. He faithfully served out the remainder of his service in the United States Army reserve.

While serving in the military in Alaska, he met Annette who was attending nursing school in Anchorage. They were married on June 30th, 1967, and had their first child, Christine, while serving at Ft. Richardson. After his discharge from the Army, the new family moved to Kentucky, then Boston before settling in Jamaica Plain, MA where they would then have their next two children, Elizabeth and Michael. In 1988, they would take in their 5-yr old nephew Brandon to live with them after he lost his mom.

After moving to Boston, Warren, a devoted Jaguar enthusiast, was one of the original members of the New England XK Association, NEXKA which evolved into the Jaguar Association of New England (JANE). A short time later he started Jaguar Works Limited with some friends and began working on vintage Jaguars. After the dissolution of Jaguar Works nearly a decade later, he started his solo career as the Jag Shop, with his son eventually joining him on this venture. In 2016, he moved to Middleboro, MA and continued working on vintage Jaguars and other British cars until his retirement in 2021.

In his spare time, Warren enjoyed racing Jaguars at various venues, such as Lime Rock and Watkins Glen. His group also organized and ran the Hunnewell Hill Climb, racing vintage and rare cars at the Hunnewell Estate in Wellesley, MA. He was an avid collector. He collected jag parts, stamps, magazines, and automotive memorabilia. He would always have a story for each thing that he owned. He loved music and had a voluminous record album collection. He even owned a jukebox. He would love to go dancing with his wife, Annette. They would often go to the Tam in Brookline to see their favorite group, the Memphis Rockabilly Band.

Warren was a great dad, and his children never wanted for anything growing up. They would go fishing at Pemaquid Point in Maine, take the VW bus camping, fishing and hiking at Baxter State Park and the Moosehead Lake Region. He was a cub scout leader for the boys, and a chauffeur for the girls, always dropping them off places in fancy cars so they always felt like stars.

Warren was a very kind and considerate man. He had an amazing ease and generous nature. He was devoted to his family and friends and he was always willing to help anyone out that needed it. He will be very missed by all who knew him.

Warren is survived by his sisters, Linda Kemian and her husband John, and Candace Manica and her husband Gary; his children, Christine Cullen and her husband Andrew, Lisa Noel and her husband Ron, his sons Michael Cossitt and Brandon George; as well as his beloved grandchildren Fiona DiGiandomenico with her husband John, Kaleb Cullen with his husband Lee, Aiyana Noel, Harley Noel, Eric Noel, Skylar Jacko, and Tiohawíhton Peterson.

Please join us for a Memorial Gathering to be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Saturday, June 7th from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM. Military Honors will be held at the commencement of the gathering at 3:45 pm.

Friends with Jaguars, please bring them for a Jag send-off in the parking lot at the end of the gathering. Please park your Jaguars in the front parking lot. All others please park in the rear.

To clarify, Jaguar Automobiles, please do not bring pet Jaguars.
