Ruggles, of Brockton, August 16, 2003, Warren W. Ruggles, 83 years. Husband of the late Amaro Ruggles, father of Debra Shaw of Virginia, brother of Frank Ruggles of Avon, and uncle of Nancy Ruggles of Scituate, MA.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9:30am. A Graveside Service will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15am. Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday 6-8pm in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton.

Obituary Information

Mr. Ruggles died Saturday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born in Roxbury, a son of the late Frank and Florence M. (Abner) Ruggles. He attended Boston public schools and was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. He had been employed as a winder by the Arrow Armature Company. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII serving in the European Theatre and he received the Purple Heart after being wounded during the Normandy invasion. He had played in small bands in the area as a drummer.

He is survived by his daughter Debra Shaw of Virginia, a brother Frank Ruggles of Avon and a niece Nancy Ruggles of Scituate, MA. He was the husband of the late Amaro Ruggles.
