After contracting heart problems, he exercised with the 'Cardiac Kids' of Stoughton. In his latter years, Warren worked to organize the rebuilding of the high school, improve the accessibility of The First Church and joined as an at-large member of the Community Preservation Committee in their work to preserve the historic cemetery and the old skim milk bridge.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Gould) Turner, 4 children: Karen Sanford, Peter Turner (Kathy), David Turner (Faith), and Paula Benotti (Robert), 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
