Wayne A. Griffith, 87, of Middleboro passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro. He was the husband of Janet (Thomas) Griffith.

Born in Attleboro on April 6, 1937, Wayne was the son of the late Harold L. Griffith and Virginia (Paquin) Griffith. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1955. He also attended the University of New Hampshire before transferring to Franklin Technical Institute, graduating in 1959.

He worked for E.J. Flynn Associates for over 35 years before starting his own business, Griffith & Vary.

Wayne enjoyed the Red Sox and New York Giants and played semi-professional baseball for the Mitchell Club. He was a member of the Elks for 65 years as well as Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks, a member of the Mayflower Lodge AF+A and a member of the Mitchell Memorial Club. Wayne also enjoyed traveling with the "Elk's Rat Pac" for Sunday Pizza Runs, vacationing with couples and sailing with hiss buddy Jimmy Flynn.

In addition to his wife, Janet, Wayne is survived by his children Jayne Ferreira and her husband Lawrence of Fall River, Todd Griffith of Middleboro, and Amy Donohue and her companion Chris of Fairhaven; his grandchildren Shannon Griffith and her fiancé Stanley, Leslie Griffith, Anna Griffith, Maddie Key and her husband Jeffrey, Margaret Ourique and her husband Alex, Anthony Ferriera and James Donohue; his sister Gail Mason of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the father of the late Lauralee Griffith and brother of the late Glenn Griffith.

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Friday, May 10th from 4:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Sampson Cemetery, Lakeville.
