Wayne M. Reed, 80, of Bridgewater, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Madeline R. (Millette) Reed. Born March 17, 1938 in Weymouth, MA he was a son of the late Edward W. Reed and Elizabeth A. (Calnan) Reed. Raised and educated in Brockton, Wayne was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1957. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Wayne owned and operated Reed Remodeling Company for 30 years. He enjoyed reading, music and playing pool. Wayne was a very religious person; his Christian faith was very important to him. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He is survived by his wife, Madeline R. (Millette) Reed; his children, Steven F. Reed and his wife Cheryl, Michael E. Reed and his wife Caroline Bolger and Kerry E. Venti and her husband Richard; his grandchildren, Tyson Reed, Chase Reed, Kelly Reed, Alexandra Venti, Colin Reed and Anna Stripinis; his sibling, Gordon Reed and his wife Muriel; his sister-in-law, Frances Reed; and his several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Whitney Reed and Sylvia Reed. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street (RT28) West Bridgewater on Monday, April 16th from 4:00PM-7:00PM followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00PM. Interment will be private.
