Online Obituaries William Bean (1926-2017) William (Bill) Randall Bean, 91, of Brockton, MA passed away on April 21, 2017 at the Baypointe Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Bill was born on February 23, 1926 in Hingham, to the late William Kimball Bean and Hilda (Harris) Bean. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary (Barry) Bean, who he was married to from 1952 until her death in 1984, and second wife, Ruth (Landquist) Bean, who he was married to from 1986 until her death in 2016. Bill was raised in Hingham, MA, and was a resident of Brockton since 1952. He attended Hingham public schools, Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA and Tilton Academy in Tilton, NH, where he excelled in wrestling and football. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the second World War. Bill was a graduate of Duke University. He was employed by John Hancock Life Insurance company as an agent and assistant manager for 40 years. Mr. Bean is survived by his son, Randy Bean, and daughter in law, Beth Black, of Boston, MA and Stonington Borough, CT, and grandsons Matthew Bean and Christopher Bean of Boston. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Joseph Landquist Jr. of Dalton, Georgina Fucci of Dover, NH, Martin Landquist of Plymouth, Robin Latham of NY, Charles (Chip) Landquist of Hingham, MA, Michael Landquist of Plymouth, MA, and Kelly (Landquist) Boutin of Plymouth.
