William O. Beebe, Jr. (Bill), passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2020, in Brockton, Massachusetts at the age of 84. He was born on July 17, 1935 in Newport, RI to William and Rose Beebe. He was a graduate from De La Salle Academy in Newport, class of 1954 and in his early years, he worked hard as an apprentice for his father's plumbing business. He was a veteran of the Korean War when he served in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Parkers Express in Avon, MA. He loved and was dedicated to all sports including his beloved Red Sox and Patriots. He had a special place in his heart for gardening, was a wonderful, devoted father and enjoyed being with his family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Amy (Knowles) Beebe and will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Donna Mello of Derry, NH, Patricia (Jay) Jenkinson of Brockton, Paula Beebe of Brockton and Deborah (Curt) Maberry of Sugar Grove, IL. He was blessed with eight grandchildren: Laura, Tina, Christina, Jennifer, Joshua, Amanda, Jeffrey and Alexis. He had four great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his sisters, Inga Sheekey of Hialeah, FL, Rosalie (Phillip) Connell of Newport, RI, brothers, James (Kathy) Beebe of Middletown RI, Robert (Gerrie) Beebe of Portsmouth RI and Richard (Lynn) Beebe of Monmouth, ME. He was predeceased by his brothers Donald Beebe and John Beebe. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held in June at Melrose Cemetery
