Obituary

William J. “Bill” Butler age 53 of Norton died unexpectedly Saturday, November 20, 2010. He was the loving husband of Cheryl “Cheri” (Wesson) Butler.
Bill was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Ernest and Eileen (Lynch) Butler and had resided in Norton for the past 20 years. A 1976 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational High School, Bill had been employed as a custodian with the Brockton School Department for 25 years. He was also the owner and operator of Butler and Son Fence Company.
Bill was devoted to his family and their farm life. They were members of Bristol County 4-H and Bill enjoyed tending to the animals and garden.
Bill is survived by his son Michael R. Butler of Norton, his daughter Maria Marigliano and her husband Mark of Gardner, MA and 2 granddaughters Ava and Kaitlyn. He also leaves a sister Kathleen M. Badger and her husband Dennis of East Bridgewater and two nieces Jacqueline delaTorre and Alison Smith.
Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 2-5pm with a prayer service at 4:30pm. Donations in Bill’s name may be made to Father Bill’s & MainSpring, 422 Washington Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
