William S. “Bill” Parker, 75 years old of Brockton died Sunday May 3, 2009 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Moira (Walsh) Parker for almost 50 years. Born in Natick, a son of the late Fred and Eleanor (Kiernan) Parker. He had been a resident of Brockton since 1967, he was a graduate of Matignon High School and received his Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Northeastern University.

He retired after 20 years as a project manager with the Division of Capital Planning for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bill was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers and a life member of the National Model Railroad Association, Brockton and Hockamock Camera Clubs.

He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and will be fondly remembered with his Stetson hat on his head, bolla tie and a big smile on his face. He had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where he had served as an usher.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children, Brian Parker and his wife Sarah of E. Taunton, David Parker, MD and his wife Nazare of Middleboro, Elizabeth “Beth” (Parker) Roberts and her fiancé John Kearney of Raynham and Paul Parker and his wife Laurie of Billerica, he was the loving grampa of Jeffery, Jennifer, Eilis, William, Alina, Brendan, Evan, Jonathan, Katie, Kristen, Matthew, Lauren and Lindsey. He was the brother of the late Frederic Parker.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to My Brother’s Keeper, P.O. Box 338, N. Easton, MA 02356.
