Obituary

William J. “Billy” Barry, age 54, of Brockton, died November 8, 2022 at his home. Billy was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Hunt) Barry. A 1986 graduate of Brockton High School, Billy worked at Smith & Nephew, Inc. in Mansfield for over 25 years.

Billy loved watching college football games and all other sports. He also collected sports memorabilia and enjoyed spending time at the Tin Ray with his many friends. Most importantly, Billy was proud of his son Michael and his achievements. He will be remembered as a quiet and private man who was the best friend of many people.

In addition to his son Michael Joyce of Taunton, Billy leaves his brothers James Barry of Middleboro and Robert Barry of Taunton.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton on Wednesday November 16, 2022 from 5-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 for a 10:30 Mass at Christ the King Church. Burial to follow in South Easton Cemetery.
