William E. Stack, III

William Edward Stack III, 76, passed away peacefully. Born on October 12, 1949, he was the beloved son of the late William E. Stack Jr. and Helen L. Stack.

William was predeceased by his parents and his younger brother, Timothy C. Stack. He is survived by his brother, Stephen P. Stack and his wife, Joan, of Brockton, Massachusetts; his sister, Nora Tobin and her husband, Thomas, of Plymouth, Massachusetts; his sister, Mary Milano and her husband, Jim, of Dennis, Massachusetts; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Following his graduation from high school, William proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he embarked on a long and dedicated career as a locksmith, a profession he faithfully practiced until his retirement.

William found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid photographer who loved capturing special moments, and he enjoyed spending time on the golf course and fishing whenever he had the opportunity. Affectionately known as "Uncle Billy" to those who knew and loved him, William will be remembered for his military service, his quiet strength, his kind spirit, and the lasting impact he had on the lives of his family and friends.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2026 at 11:15 A.M. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they gather to celebrate William's life and honor his service.

William's legacy—and the memory of "Uncle Billy"-will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
