Obituary

William A. Harrington, age 79, of Brockton, died July 4, 2021 at his home. Bill was born and raised in Boston, a son of the late Francis and Florence (Casey) Harrington. He was a graduate of Boston Latin School and was a member of the school’s baseball team. Bill attended Northeastern University and was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Ingersoll Rand, Inc.’s energy group.

A quiet, private and intellectual man, Bill enjoyed keeping up with current events, spending time with his family, baseball and reading. Bill was grateful for the time he was able to spend as a caregiver of his elderly father in his home.

Bill is survived by his brother Robert J. Harrington and his wife Marjorie of Brockton and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francis X. Harrington.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, July 24, 9-10:30am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30am. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
