Obituary

William R. Jones, 74, of Billerica formerly of Taunton, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, in Burlington.

Born and raised in Taunton, he was the son of the late William N. and Mary L. (Driscoll) Jones.
Billy attended two years of Monsignor Coyle High School and two years of Taunton High School before graduating. Mr. Jones served his country proudly in the United States Army.

He worked as an MRI Technician in the medical field for many years.

William was a protector and was always there for his sister. His late son Jesse was the light of his life. He enjoyed fishing, loved the water, as he lived on the Concord River. He could often be seen on his boat.

He is survived by his two sisters, Judith A. Jones, of Brockton, and Wilma M. Engerman, and her husband, Rupert, of Middleboro; and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Jesse Jones.

Billy’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Interment will be private.
