William Aljoynior King, Sr., 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Brockton surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. He was the loving husband of Lillie M. (Green) King.
Born September 1, 1928 in Turkey Knob, West Virginia he was the son of the late Cecil W. King and Ethel M. (Walton) Quarles.
He was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. King was retired from the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston where he served as Lead Chef. He loved to cook, entertain and have his family together for Sunday dinners. William also enjoyed travelling and dancing.
In addition to his wife, Lillie Mae (Green) King he is survived by his four daughters; Ethel, Lasondra, Joyce King and Tongalis Upshaw; two sons; Thomas Green and William A. King, Jr.; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16th at 9:45AM in the New Life Christian Church, 184 West Elm St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park 319 High St., Canton, MA. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9;00AM to 9:45AM in the CHURCH.
