Obituary

William L. Knight, 90, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died peacefully at home November 18, 2013. He was the son of the late Carroll and Edyth (Soderbom) Knight. For many years William worked for the former Spiegel Recycling in Brockton. He was a quiet man who enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren; reading, especially the Brockton Enterprise and watching westerns and old sitcoms.

He is survived by his children David Knight of Bridgewater and Theresa Grieco of Brockton; step children Carol, Richard, Linda, Deborah, John, Donna and Tom; a brother Vernon “Bernie” Knight of E. Bridgewater; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his former wife Theresa (McLaughlin) Melchionne. William was also predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.

A graveside service will be held in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11am. In memory of William the family would prefer donations be made to the MSPCA 1300 W. Elm Street Extension Brockton, MA 02301.
