Obituary

Billy grew up in Malden MA one of 8 children to William Marchand and Madeline Marchand nee (Williamson).

Upon graduating in 1967 He worked on the Boston Stock Exchange floor affectionately known as the "Weez" before working for Cantella for 20+ years, eventually becoming Head Trader. Billy went on to Moors & Cabot for 25+ years forming lifelong friendships with great people with great names like Dilly, Moose, the Duke, Fuqua, Moyn, Wilky, Dunny, D-Mac Alstrodamus and the list goes on.

He married his High School sweet heart Kathryn nee (Endicott) in 1971. They moved to Brockton "City of Champions" in 1973, where they raised their two children, Eric and Lori. The boy gave him a hard time. (HA) He met and made friends wherever he went from Malden and the North Shore to Brockton and the South Shore.

Billy enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations in Lynnfield by the pond with his brothers and sisters, aunts uncles, nieces, and nephews. In his later years he had a ball playing in his over-the-hill soccer league but for nothing more than the victory celebrations at the LIT in Brockton, with yet another group of fantastic friends. His favorite place to get away was Saquish. Billy loved his beach family, relaxing days and rowdy Friday nights around the packed tables for game nights and shenanigans. Billy always appreciated the great times with an endless list of great people. He was at his best when he was out and about on the town be it fine dining or a dive bar. He was a fan of them all. Billy's wicked wit, his kind heart and generous nature touched us all.. Granpa truly loved all his grandkids and the entire family. He will be missed.

He leaves behind his wife Kathy, son Eric, and his wife Melodie, brothers Mick and Gary, sisters Denise and Kathy and grandkids Dylan, Collin, Maddie, Andrew, Billy and Jimmy, and great-grandkids Myles and Leila as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is off to see his daughter Lori.
