William A. Mazur, Sr., 71, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Sabina L. (Muggeo) Mazur. Born October 1, 1946 in Reading, PA he was a son of the late Raymond L. Mazur, Sr. and Marie A. (Zerbe) Mazur. Raised and educated in Reading, PA, William moved to Massachusetts in 1965 when he enlisted in the United States Airforce. He was stationed at Otis Airforce Base in Cape Cod. William drove buses for BAT Bus and also worked part time as a police officer for the town of Acushnet. William enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and was a member of the Bertocci Memorial Club and the Conte Memorial Club both in Brockton. William is survived by his children, William A. Mazur, Jr. and his wife Rebekah of Bridgewater and Lori Vieira and her husband Michael of Brockton; his granddaughter Leah Mazur of Bridgewater; his siblings, Richard Mazur and Carol Ulrich and her husband Lee; his sister-in-law, Doris Mazur. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Mazur, Jr. Funeral Services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Tuesday, February 13th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the funeral home on Monday from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
