William F. Metcalf of Bridgewater died on August 8, 2024 at The Guardian Center in Brockton. He was 94. Born in Manchester, NH to the late Edward J. and Margaret (Turley) Metcalf, he was the loving and cherished husband of Barbara (Giovanini) Metcalf. He is survived by his daughter Jill Hopkins of Taunton, Tracey Boze and John Brown of East Taunton, and Bret Boze of East Bridgewater. Adored grandfather of Tyler and Jason Hopkins, and Jacquelyn Garrity. Daughter- in- law Nicole Boze, and son- in- law Kent Hopkins and sister-in-law Gloria Dupre. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edward, Paul, Francis and Fredrick. Bill was employed, and retired as a plumber from Bridgewater State University. His hobbies included golf, lottery tickets, trips to Las Vegas with wife Barbara, and most of all spending time with her. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street, West Bridgewater. Services are private at the convenience of the family.
