Obituary

William J. Orr, 75 years, of E. Bridgewater, Thursday September 9, 2010 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a long battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Rita A. (Conley) Orr for 37 years. William was born in Portsmouth, NH, to the late Jordan Orr and Helen (Lyon) (Orr) Lindquist. Mr. Orr worked for TWA and retired from American Airlines. Following his retirement he worked for Shawmut Engineering of Brockton. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. William enjoyed gardening, fishing, walking his beloved dog Casey and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived a daughter Terri-Anne Souza and her husband James of W. Bridgewater; two sons Stephen M. and Matthew J. Orr both of CA; four grandchildren Justin, Bryan, Mackenzee and Tyler; a sister Margaret (Orr ) Murray of Manchester, NH and a brother Jordan Orr of Albany, NY and many nieces and nephews. He was the stepson of the late Arnold Lindquist and brother of the late Jonathan, Gregory and Stephen Lindquist.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday September 17, 2010 at 7:45am followed by a funeral mass in St. John Church , E. Bridgewater at 9am. Visiting hours Thursday September 16, 2010 4-8pm. Burial in Central Cemetery, E. Bridgewater.
