William J. Otis William John Otis, 67, of Yardley, Pennsylvania, formerly of Brockton, died May 25, 2007 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida. He was the husband of Rosemary (Welch) Otis for 44 years. Born October 25, 1939 in Brockton, he was the son of the late William C. Otis and Mary (Cheverie) Otis. Mr. Otis served in the United States Navy. He graduated from Stonehill College and received his MBA from The University of Western Massachusetts. He spent over 40 years as an executive in the oil industry and worked 24 years for Major Oil in Philadelphia. He has been a resident of Yardley, Pennsylvania since 1983. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Welch) Otis of Yardley, PA; his children, William Charles Otis of Westchester, PA, Robert Otis of Simsbury, CT, Rachelle Bebee of Downington, PA, Rhonda Hargraves of Warminster, PA, and Rosemary Brennecke of Havertown, PA; his grandchildren, Michael, Cassandra, Lindsey, Courtney, Brian, Tyler, Joey, Dylan, and Matthew; his brother, Philip Otis; his sisters, Rosemary Otis and Beth McCann. He is also father of the late William J. Otis , Jr. Funeral Information A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4th at 10:00AM in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
