Podzon, of Brockton, December 22, 2006, William M. Podzon, 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor C. (White) Podzon. Loving and adoring father of William M. Podzon, Jr. of Abington, Rosemarie A. “Pinky” Rodrigue of Brockton and Carol A. Welch of Taunton. Grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 17, uncle of Patricia Cappiello, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Mary Bova, Anna Fuller, Michael Podzon, Rose Walker and Bronis Podzon.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8pm.

Obituary Information

William M. Podzon, 93 years died Friday at Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Matthew and Mary (Wallen) Podzon. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and had been a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Podzon had been employed as a machinist by Sturtevant’s Machine Company, Barbour Welt Company, Fore River Shipyard and retired in 1978 from Ward Machine Company.

He enjoyed both freshwater and ice fishing, walking, and trips to Clearwater Beach Florida where he we would spend six weeks a year. He had been a longtime communicant of St. Edward’s Church. Mr. Podzon’s overwhelming love for his family, friends and co-workers throughout the years brought him much comfort and unending happiness. His sense of humor and jokes put many smiles on many people’s faces.

He is survived by one son William M. Podzon, Jr. of Abington, two daughters Rosemarie A. “Pinky” Rodrigue of Brockton and Carol A. Welch of Taunton, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, his niece Patricia Cappiello and several other nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Eleanor C. (White) Podzon and brother of the late Mary Bova, Anna Fuller, Michael Podzon, Rose Walker and Bronis Podzon.
