William J. Traynor
, 66, of Brockton and formerly of Quincy, died unexpectedly, Sunday March 8, 2009 at his home in Brockton.
Born July 24, 1942 in Quincy, he was the son of the late Joseph W. Traynor and Constance (Despier) Traynor. Raised in Quincy, he graduated from Quincy High School.
He was the owner of Bill Traynor's Oil Burner Service, where he repaired and serviced heating systems, oil burners, plumbing and air conditioners for more than 20 years. He was a retired Quincy Police Officer serving for 14 years and attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a former Quincy resident and worked alongside his father at Traynor's TV and Radio Service in Quincy for many years. He was a communicant at St. Michael's Church in Avon and St. Joseph Church in Holbrook.
He is survived by his son, William M. Traynor of Quincy; his brother, Richard Traynor of Revere; his former wife, Barbara J. Traynor of Quincy; he is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A private Graveside service was held in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree on Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
