Online Obituaries William A. Tony Vellios, 85, of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. He was the husband of Ellen P. (Joyce) Vellios. Born December 30, 1928 in Norwich, CT, he was the son of the late Aristedis Vellios and Theodora (Nanos) Vellios. He served in the United States Navy. He was the Director of Pharmacy at the Cardinal Cushing Hospital for 20 years. He enjoyed watching his sons play sports and going to the Dog Track. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen P. (Joyce) Vellios; his sons, Billy Vellios and his wife Joleen and Patrick Vellios and his wife Shannon; his beloved grandchildren, Kaila, Joseph and Brooklynn; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Christine Economos, Bessie Spiros, Helen Hatzopoulos and Alice Bufithis. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, Sept 2nd at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM.
