Obituary

Winifred A. “Winnie” (Mahoney) Brewer, age 67, of Eastham and Aruba, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly, February 15, 2014 at her home in Aruba. Winnie was the loving wife of Paul E. Brewer, Jr. She was born and raised in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Sarah (McManus) Mahoney. For over 40 years Winnie had been employed as an Oral Surgeon’s Assistant for Dr. Herbert Bernstein. She was thoughtful and caring and enjoyed socializing with everyone she met. She also enjoyed time with family and friends, her grandson Landon, reading and traveling.

In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by a son Paul E. Brewer III and his wife Vantha Pov of Rockland; two daughters Beth Brewer Deslongchamps and her husband Richard of South Easton and Sara Brewer of Quincy; a grandson Landon Brewer; a sister Susan Mahoney of Warwick, RI and was the sister in law of Michael Brewer and Nancy Brewer.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church 10:30am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Winnie’s name to the Charity of One’s Choice.
