Winsome Jacqueline Sampson, of Brockton, passed away October 9, 2018, at the age of 65. She was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Winsome moved to Massachusetts in her early 20s and resided in Brockton with her family for several years. Winsome earned two college degrees as a pharmacy technician and in medical records. She dedicated several years as a medical secretary at South Shore Hospital. She had a strong faith in Christ and in her latter life was devoted member at Messiah Baptist Church in Brockton. She is the beloved wife of Cornel Sampson Sr.; loving mother of Cornel Sampson Jr., Cecile Sampson, and Craig Sampson; caring grandmother to Carter, Cassidy, and Calia. Winsome was the affectionate sister of Earl Hill, Darnette Hill, Sharon Hill, and Dave Hill; and had several nieces, nephews, and extended loved ones. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 10:00AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Friday, October 19th from 3:00 to 7:00PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
